CPR

(Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation)

Learn how to perform CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) and how to use a defibrillator.  If you haven't already booked your session click here.

Thank you for your interest in the above training which will be delivered by Stratford Ambulance Association, in association with Shakespeare Lions. Sessions will be interactive and hands-on with everyone being able to practice what they see demonstrated, using dummies and test equipment. The main aims are to:

  • Provide a basic understanding of when, why and how to perform CPR

  • Demonstrate how to use a defibrillator

  • Learn how to put someone in the recovery position

  • Give you confidence and information to deal with such a situation

Each session will last around 90 minutes and will be held at Foundation House, 144 Masons Road, Stratford upon Avon, CV37 9NF. Limited car parking is available on the site.

Please arrive around 10 minutes before your appointment so that we can start promptly. We will be playing a short video which you may find helpful and will be serving coffee, tea and soft drinks to those who want them.

Places are limited to 20 attendees at each session - this will ensure you have sufficient time to learn the techniques and use the equipment. Given the limited numbers please advise us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend so we can re-allocate your place.

Please note that we will be using dummies on the floor so you may wish not to wear your best clothes!
