On Sunday 24th April, 2022 eleven of the club members helped marshal this year’s Shakespeare Marathon organised by Stratford upon Avon Rotary Club.

We have supported this event for many years and after the break during the pandemic it was nice to get involved again.

Runners come from far & wide to participate in this well-known race and

while some are more competitive than others, all participate

with the aim of doing their very best.

​

Traditionally we manage two water stations on the marathon route which gives us great opportunities to encourage the runners.

And it’s also a fun team building exercise for our own members.

We receive a donation from Rotary for our labours and

use this in a range of areas depending on the needs at the time.
